 Kirmont Center will build Mexico House. The project is part of Kirkmont's World Community Center, designed to help participants understand social justice issues and explore situational based ethics. This phase of the project is partially funded by a Synod of the Covenant New Covenant grant.

Local projects get support from national and synod Self-Development of People committees. Four self-help programs in Michigan and Ohio have received a total of $50,000 from the two committees, who distribute money from the One Great Hour of Sharing offering.
