This one committee gathers together a variety of justice concerns from across the synod. The committee includes persons who bring particular perspectives to the table and together, decisions area made. The committee awards scholarships and grants and supports events and activities that meet the needs of racial ethnic, young and old, dispossessed and disadvantaged people in our congregations and communities. Responsibilities Build awareness of issues and concerns coming from our congregations and presbyteries Develop, encourage and support efforts that address the ministry areas of this committee Administer Peacemaking grants and scholarships Maintain effective communication among all mission areas Share information synod wide with the assistance of the synod staff Monitor expenditures and financial status of each ministry area Evaluation of all ministry areas annually Submit an annual budget request to the Budget & Finance Committee
