Diving deeper into emotional intelligence, how does it correlate with leadership styles? Which leadership styles are most effective, retaining both employees and congregation members, while helping them feeling valued and important? Which leadership styles can actually hurt your church or organization if you’re not careful? We’ll look at how emotional intelligence affects your leadership style and its impact, both in the short-term and long-term, and consider what congregations might actually expect and need from us as leaders.
Rev. Kimberly Secrist Ashby has been a PCUSA pastor for almost 25 years, serving in congregations in Kentucky, Ohio, Maryland, and now Michigan. She is a single mom of two daughters, one in college and the other in high school.
