MUSA 2020 – Christian-Muslim Relations in the Balkans

Since 2017, the Synod of the Covenant initiated a focus on Christian-Muslim Relations which is primarily emphasized through the Synod’s Mission to the USA program (MUSA). The objective is to enhance Christian-Muslim relations, promote hospitality and collaboration with Muslim neighbors, and develop healthy appreciation for Islam and Muslims. Below you will find a link to MUSA webpage:

In 2020, we plan to continue our focus on Christian-Muslim relations in the Balkan region, and invite experienced and active partners to itinerate with a PCUSA congregation within the bounds of the Synod for three weeks October 17 through November 7, 2020. Orientation with IMPs and representatives from host congregations is scheduled for 10/17, and Debriefing and seminar on 11/6). IMPs will be hosted by one or more family members of the host congregations who will provide hospitality in the form of room and board for the duration. The Synod will cover all other expenses including visa, local travel, airline cost/expenses, and travel/health insurance.
